Welcome to Wild Wander Forest School
WHERE WE SUPPORT CHILDREN, PARENTS, AND EDUCATORS TO EMBARK ON TRANSFORMATIVE OUTDOOR LEARNING EXPERIENCES ROOTED IN CURIOSITY, CONNECTION, AND WONDER.
At Wild Wander Forest School, we believe that nature is not just a backdrop—it’s the most powerful classroom there is. Our all-outdoor, all-weather Preschool, TK, Kindergarten, and 1st & 2nd grade programs blend project-based learning, Orton-Gillingham literacy, and California’s early learning standards with an intentional, child-centered approach to education.
We value interest-led learning, where each child’s curiosity is the compass. When a learner shows excitement, we follow their lead—creating meaningful, individualized experiences that don’t just meet standards, but go far beyond them. Children at Wild Wander Forest School are given the space to explore, take risks, build emotional resilience, and grow at their own pace—with purpose, joy, and a deep connection to the natural world.
We let their nature lead.

Our Mission
Our mission at Wild Wander Forest School is to reimagine education by placing nature, curiosity, and connection at the heart of every child’s learning journey. We believe in the transformative power of outdoor, project-based experiences to nurture confidence, creativity, and a grounded sense of self.
Through intentional teaching, hands-on projects, and a deep respect for each child’s unique path, we aim to cultivate resilient learners who think critically, care deeply, and grow with wonder—both in the classroom and in the world beyond.

At Wild Wander Forest School the outdoors isn’t just where we learn—it’s why we learn. We are deeply committed to nurturing children’s connection to the natural world through daily immersion, exploration, and care. By spending every day outside in all weather, children grow not only as learners, but as advocates—developing empathy for the earth, respect for all living things, and a lifelong sense of responsibility to protect the places that inspire their wonder.
Our Commitment to outdoor learning

Our educators
Our educators are more than teachers — they’re guides, mentors, and co-adventurers in the learning journey. Each member of our team brings a deep love for nature, a strong foundation in early childhood education, and a commitment to honoring the unique strengths of every child.
Our lead teachers are credentialed educators, and our co-teachers bring specialized early childhood education training and hours, ensuring a highly qualified, nurturing team. With backgrounds in project-based learning, Orton-Gillingham literacy, the Heggerty phonemic awareness method, outdoor education, and child development, they create meaningful experiences that are both academically rich and emotionally supportive. Most importantly, they know when to lead, when to listen, and when to simply follow a child’s curiosity into the woods.
